Private-Label-Olivenöl: So bringen Sie Ihre eigene Marke auf den Markt

Private label (or white label) lets you sell high-quality olive oil under your own brand without owning a mill or bottling line. For retailers, distributors and food brands, it's the fastest route to a differentiated product. Here's how it works.

What private-label olive oil means

You define the brand, the recipe (grade and blend) and the packaging; the producer bottles and labels the oil to your specification. The result is your product — your label, bottle, cap and carton — made by an experienced producer.

Step 1 — Choose your grade and profile

Decide the grade (extra virgin, organic extra virgin, virgin) and the flavour profile that fits your positioning — mild and balanced for everyday lines, robust and high-polyphenol for premium.

Step 2 — Design the packaging

Select your format and finishings:

  • Bottle — glass or PET, shape and size.
  • Closure — pourer, screw cap or cork.
  • Label & carton — your artwork, languages and barcodes.

Step 3 — Certifications and compliance

Depending on your market you may need organic (EU/USDA), non-GMO, kosher or halal certification, plus labelling that meets local food regulations. A good producer guides you and provides the supporting certificates.

Step 4 — Samples, MOQ and pricing

Review samples of both the oil and the finished packaging. Private-label MOQs are usually set per SKU; larger volumes lower your unit cost. You'll receive a firm price with your chosen Incoterms.

Step 5 — Production and delivery

The producer sources or blends the oil to your profile, bottles and labels it, analyzes each lot, and ships worldwide. From there, it's your brand on the shelf.
